This summer's theme is "Build a Better World," and during July and August we'll be hula dancing, making kites, singing songs and reading books.

Come sign up anytime: we'll set reading goals and hand out materials starting 6/27, and start reading the first week of July.

Visit the new Digital Archives of the Island Free Library, generously endowed by Aloyise Pomeroy and the Friends of the Island Free Library.

This amazing resource is perfect for researching family history, historical events on Block Island, or how much a seafood plate at Kittens cost in 1966 ($1.50). Browse thousands of issues of Block Island newspaper archives, including issues of The Block Island Fly, The Block Island Hooter, The Block Island Newsletter, The Block Island Reporter, The Block Island Times, The Ebb Tide, The Manisses Journal, and The Ocean View.

Stay tuned for the archival of additional historical documents!
